If you’ve received an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) from me and you’d like to read it on your Kindle, Kindle app, Apple Books app or Google Play Books app, here’s what you need to do:

Note: I send ARCs out in ePub format. It’s a standard e-reader format so you can read your advance copy on other e-readers . I’ve only included the most common ones here.

Sending an ePub file to your Kindle or Kindle app

There are several ways to get an ePub file on to a Kindle or Kindle app, but I find email the simplest. To use this method, you need to

  1. Find the unique email address for your Kindle device or app.
  2. Set your personal email address to the list of emails that are allowed to email books to your Kindle. (Assuming you’ve not done this previously.)
  3. Send an email to your unique Kindle device email address with the ePub flle attached.

Your new ePub book will appear in your Kindle library a few minutes later. This article on another webiste explains how to do all this in detail: https://www.cloudwards.net/how-to-send-to-kindle-email/

Opening an ePub file in Apple Books on your iPhone or iPad

  • Download the ePub file to your device.
  • Find the ePub file in the Files app.
  • Double tap on the ePub file. Your device will automatically open it in the Apple Books app.

Opening an ePub file in Google Play Books on your Android phone or tablet

  • Download the ePub file to your device.
  • Find the ePub file in the Files app.
  • Tap on the ePub file. Your device will automatically open it in the Google Play Books app if you already have it installed.
