I often get quizzed about how self-publishing works by new and would-be indie authors (including some trad authors who want more control),  so I’ve set up a Substack to share my tips and hints. It’s called

I’m building it up to be a useful resource on indie writing and marketing, and everything in between. I’m not professing to know everything, but I’m happy to share what I’ve learnt on my publishing journey so far.

And for those of you who’ve landed straight on this page and haven’t got a clue who I am, I’ve been self-publishing rom com series under my own imprint, Octosulis Publishing, since 2023, and I’ve picked up the RNA Debut Romantic Novel Award and the RNA Romantic Comedy Novel Award along the way.
